SunPower™ Project Model
Conservelec will visit you at no charge for an initial consultation and walk-through of your facility. During that time we will ask your Facility Manager a series of questions, which along with our visual observations will allow us to make a determination whether your company can profitably implement sensible measures to reduce your electrical bill.

After Sales Service |
Step 1: Presentation
During this step, contact and presentations are made to customers, negotiations are carried out and finally, if agreement is reached to proceed, contracts and purchase orders signed and deposit paid. The responsible sales person is supported by the entire organisation in order to evaluate and estimate the system solution. At the end of this step, independent electrical technicians are then commissioned to perform data collection at the client's facility.
Step 2: Data
During this step, fully qualified electrical technicians are engaged to prepare a single line drawing of electricity flow throughout the facility, obtain load profiles at Main Distribution Boards and Sub Panels. Static readings are also taken on various electrical motors such as air conditioning, elevator, escalator/s, cooling towers and lighting circuits. On receipt of the data, it is then forwarded to the Sunpower engineers for planning and sizing of the Electricity Saving devices to be used for the entire project in order to maximise energy savings.
Step 3: Order/Prod
During this step, orders are placed and the system components are produced at the Sunpower factory over a period of approximately 6 weeks and then shipped direct to the installation site. SESS software is procured if required and installation is planned in detail. On arrival of the system components, installation is then ready to start.
Step 4: Installation
During this step, all system components are installed by the appointed electrical sub-contractor under the supervision of Conservelec. In addition the commissioning step is prepared and scheduled in detail as agreed with the customer.
Where required, an electrical monitoring meter is installed at the Main Distribution Board which can be hooked up to a computer enabling various reports to be generated showing electrical readings such as power factor, KW, KVA, KVAR, Volts, amps and Kilowatt Hours consumption.
Step 5: Commissioning
During this step, the project is commissioned and finally tested at agreed intervals of time with the Sunpower system switched on and off. This then enables data to be compared and savings evaluated before final payment is made. Copies of all testing documentation are handed to the customer for verification of savings. At the end of the testing period the system is handed over to the customer and the warranty commences.
Step 6: After Sales
During this step, the system is in operation and managed by the customer. The after sales service continues for 12 months and during that time Conservelec may carry out further data logging to determine savings results from time to time.
